Om2wheels – all things cycling and yoga at Lifecycol
We love cycling. We love yoga. So, as part of the Lifecycol evolution it seemed perfectly logical to create ‘Om2wheels’, a re-named version of our old ‘News’ page here on the Lifecycol website.
Om2wheels will be dedicated to all things cycling and yoga – after all, they make a fantastic pairing – as well as other Lifecycol events and adventures both in Morzine and beyond.
This week we’re well chuffed to be hosting the awesome Katherine Moore, freelance cycling journalist, and her partner Jon Steel, both of whom are fully fledged cycling junkies!
In honour of their stay at Chalet Avenir, to ‘convert’ them to taking on a consistent post-ride yoga-inspired stretch practice, and to launch ‘Om2wheels’ with a bang, Sunday 25th July at 5pm will see Lifecycol’s first ‘Stretch and Strength for Cyclists using Hatha Yoga Techniques’ session, here on Lifecycol’s amazing outdoor deck.
We’d like to invite locals and holiday-makers alike to join us for 60 minutes of post-riding stretchy yoga bliss; come and have a go, and feel the difference in body and mind for yourself! Direct message us or contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to come along.
As a cyclist, yoga helps you to improve your form, posture and core strength, as well as increasing your airflow. Yoga expert Nikita Akilapa explains that yoga teaching ‘focuses on intelligent alignment, breath work and mindful body awareness’, strengthening your airways and getting that all important oxygen to your muscles. Plus, if it’s good enough for today’s pro cyclists as a cross-training method, it’s good enough for us!
