Our two large outdoor decks, complete with large dining table, huge parasol, sunbeds, beanbags, flowers and home grown veggies are inviting, interesting and a real suntrap! And the icing on the cake?

Pretty much all you can hear is the sound of the river and the birds singing. Mountain heaven.

The beautiful Chalet Avenir is the ideal, tranquil base for summer adventures and relaxation

Lifecycol love summer as it’s the time when we can train hard both on and off the road bikes!

Having previously run a successful cycle touring business, we have thorough practical experience of guiding and supporting cyclists on both circular fixed based rides and linear multi-day rides.

During the summer months we run pre-organised road cycling breaks based at Chalet Avenir in Morzine. It is possible to take part in these holidays as an individual or with friends; be sure to look in the Summer and Prices & Availability sections of our website for information about upcoming cycling breaks organised by Lifecycol.

We love supporting people in their own unique cycling adventures and are more than happy to organise specific cycling breaks designed around individual groups and their requirements. These breaks may be based at Chalet Avenir and involve cycling the numerous beautiful routes around the local area, or the group may want to experience the challenge and fun of tour life by taking on a linear cycling tour, such as Geneva to Nice along the Route des Grandes Alpes.

Lifecycol support and guide cyclists using cycle guides and/or one or two vehicles, depending on the size of the group and the requirements of the trip.

For local rides route guidance can be incredibly useful as it alleviates your group of the stress of navigation; we know where all the best coffee and beer stops are! During longer rides or linear multi-day tours, having your own team is invaluable; not only is the navigation done for you, but your kit is on hand should the weather suddenly change, you have water and food readily available and you can enjoy the ride safe in the knowledge that you’re being well looked after from the moment you hit the road in the morning, to when you arrive at your destination for that satisfying, cold, post-ride beer at the end of the day.

Our aim is to relieve you of the stress of logistical organisation, leaving you to relish the experience of cycling these iconic cols just like the pros.

Strength and Stretch

Lifecycol know the value of cross-training in order to become better cyclists. Off-the-bike functional training, such as suspension training, bodyweight stability, strength and mobility exercises, kettlebell and deep stretch exercises make you strong and resilient for cycling and for life in general, improve how you feel day to day and prevent injuries.

As a personal trainer and fitness instructor, Amy can integrate all or some of these elements into your break should you want to broaden the scope of your existing training, recover more quickly and ride better. Cyclists are renowned for hitting the beer rather than having a good stretch at the end of a hard ride, but believe us when we say that the stretch is well worth it for the benefit you feel when you get back on the bike the next day. The best of both worlds? Beer and a good stretch!

Lifecycol’s local knowledge and expertise in guiding road cyclists means that we can organise and support you on daily rides from Chalet Avenir. We can create routes that include varied terrain on the best of the local roads, many used in the Tour de France.

During the springtime the best riders in the world are regularly seen training on the cols around Morzine. Click and check out these col profiles we’ve compiled for your perusal!

Sessions can cater for all fitness levels, so no-one need worry about not being able to take part. And the best bit? After you’ve worked hard and felt the burn, you can kick back and relax in the hot tub, enjoy al fresco dining and a glass of wine with your friends, or chill out on the sunbeds with your favourite book.

We can incorporate as much or as little activity as you’d like, ensuring that you also have free time to unwind, rejuvenate and of course explore the pretty Savoie town of Morzine with its numerous bars and cafes.

Your retreat can involve a diverse range of activities both at the chalet and elsewhere, as we collaborate with local businesses who specialise in other activities, such as water sports and mountain biking.

If you like a little pampering in amongst your sport and fitness adventures, we can organise beauty treatments including fantastic massage, right here at Chalet Avenir.
