Lifecycol are breakfast addicts…but why?!
Anyone who knows Lifecycol, knows that we seriously dig breakfast. Though there are various debates about the health benefits of eating brekkie, we are avid lovers of the first meal of the day and the way that it sets you up for productivity both physically and mentally.
As road cyclists we value the precious energy consumed at breakfast time as it sets us up for the miles ahead; there’s no way we’d consider getting on our bikes for a day out climbing mountain passes without eating first thing. The same applies in winter when, before donning our skis, a copious and nutritionally balanced bowl of something tasty is certainly on the agenda.
Scientific evidence says that eating breakfast can improve endurance exercise performance, make it more likely that you will consume recommended amounts of particular nutrients (brekkie type dependant of course) and does in fact kick start your metabolism.
Breakfast is a serious issue at Chalet Avenir and we fuel our guests in the same way that we fuel ourselves; with care, imagination and deliciousness! When you come and stay with us you can expect nutritionally balanced, yummy, home-made brekkies from across the globe, as well as healthy old faithfuls like home-made granola, plenty of interesting fresh fruit, breads, compotes and breakfast cakes. And we go easy on the sugar too, so you can be sure that you’re not saturating your body with too much of the wrong kinda white stuff!
